A ski chalet means winter holidays at your own pace: room for the whole family or a group of friends, a log fire after a day on the slopes and snow right outside the window. On Chalet Montagne you will find chalets to rent in ski resorts across the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Vosges and the Jura, from a cosy little mazot (a small traditional Alpine chalet) for two to a large family chalet.
A detached chalet in the heart of the village, a semi-detached chalet a stone's throw from the lifts, a secluded chalet on the edge of the forest or a prestige chalet with sauna and hot tub: each listing shows photos, capacity, facilities and distance to the slopes. Enter your dates and the number of guests to see only the chalets available for your ski week, at Christmas, at New Year or during February half-term.
On Chalet Montagne you rent directly from the owner. You write to them from the listing, they reply to you personally and you agree on the booking together. No middleman, no commission on your rental, no booking fees: you pay the price set by the owner.
Quality chalets and apartments for every budget.
How do I find a chalet available for my dates? Enter your arrival and departure dates and the number of guests: the list then shows only the chalets available for that period. In high season most chalets are let by the week, Saturday to Saturday. If your dates are flexible, shift your search by a day or a week to see more chalets. Each listing also includes an availability calendar kept up to date by the owner.
When should I book a chalet for a ski holiday? For Christmas, New Year and the February holidays, the large chalets go early: booking in the autumn gives you the widest choice. The weeks in January and March are usually quieter and more affordable, often with excellent snow. For a last-minute trip, also look at the last-minute offers published by owners.
What size of chalet should I choose? Go by the number of beds and bedrooms rather than floor area alone, and keep room for the ski gear. For a group of friends or several families together, our selection of large capacity chalets brings together chalets for ten people or more.
What facilities can I expect in a ski chalet? Depending on the listing: fireplace or wood stove, sauna, hot tub, ski room, parking, sometimes a swimming pool. Use the facility filters to keep only the chalets that suit you. For an exceptional stay, discover our luxury chalets and our chalets with a swimming pool.
Is the chalet close to the slopes? Each listing shows the distance to the ski lifts and to the resort centre. A ski-in ski-out chalet lets you put your skis on at the door; a chalet a little further out offers more peace and often more space, a few minutes from the slopes depending on the resort. For a true retreat in the middle of nature, see also our secluded mountain chalets.
How does booking work? You send your request to the owner from the listing. The owner replies directly, confirms the price and the terms (deposit, security deposit, cleaning, linen) and you book directly. Chalet Montagne takes no commission on your rental.
