Le CHALET le FOYER, a 170 m² village house with a newly renovated interior, is located in one of the cobbled streets of Venosc, a charming and authentic mountain village. Enjoy the benefits of a relaxing village in which you can walk (vehicle access 30 meters from the Chalet le Foyer). Come and meet up with friends or family for a successful stay!
Our 170 m² chalet is perfect for 8 to 14 people with its quality services. Well decorated, it includes 5 bedrooms and many beds, bathrooms or shower in all rooms, but also a beautiful terrace, a fireplace and a private hammam.
VENOSC is a small mountain village, with pedestrianised, cobbled streets, animated by several artisanal shops, restaurants and bar/grocery. During the day, it is a tourist spot that is sometimes quite busy, but which finds calm in the evening.
Skiing in Les Deux AlpesVenosc is linked to the resort by the gondola in 6 minutes, which allows you to take full advantage of the huge ski area of Les Deux Alpes and to find the calm of the village in the evening.Your day on the slopes:* From the Chalet le Foyer to the gondola, count 5 to 6 minutes of descent on foot, a charming walk through the streets of the village, ideal to get your feet wet.* At the foot of the gondola you will find the cash desks of the ski lifts where you can buy all types of ski passes. All ski passes are valid on the Venosc gondola. There are also pedestrian passes available for all lifts or just the Venosc gondola * It takes 6-8 minutes to get to Les Deux Alpes * 200m from the gondola exit is the Venosc Sports shop. Lockers are at your disposal to store the equipment rented from Venosc Sports and your personal equipment. In the shop, you will benefit from a discount of 30% to 40% depending on the period as a tenant of the Foyer to rent ski or snowboard equipment*. 200 m from the Diable gondola which gives access to the entire ski area. For ski lessons, the Côte Brune ESF and ESI gatherings are 500m from the shop on foot. Alexandre, our nephew, also gives ski and snowboard lessons, information at the Venosc Sports shop * In the evening, back at the Chalet le Foyer, a hammam will not be too much to recover from the efforts of a busy day.
During the summer, there are many different activities for everyone to enjoy: walking, hiking, cycling, mountaineering, white water...Venosc is a centre of varied activities: paragliding, rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, Adventure Park, via ferrata, municipal swimming pool with slide, walks with donkeys.Cyclists will have plenty to pedal with the big passes nearby: Lautaret, Galibier, Glandon, Croix de fer, ascent to Alpe d'Huez and La Bérarde... In the resort, there are also many possibilities: Mountain biking with a track that goes down to Venosc, golf, summer skiing and sledding, shopping, all shops...
The Vénéon Valley and the Ecrins massif offer a multitude of breathtaking landscapes and panoramas. You will be charmed by the space, the calm, the pure air and the preserved nature, the very wild side of the Vénéon Valley. Our family is very present in the region and our sister-in-law Chantal is the guardian of the Muzelle refuge. The ascent to the refuge is arduous (3h30 / 4h), but the courageous will not be disappointed by the fabulous landscape on arrival. We invite you to experience a night in a refuge. For the occasion, the night, apart from weekends, will be free for the tenants of the Chalet le Foyer (after agreement with Chantal for availability). A good opportunity to enjoy Chantal's simple and mischievous cooking. Memories guaranteed!
Back at Chalet le Foyer, after a dip in our swimming pool, you can prepare some tasty meals in the fully equipped kitchen before relaxing in front of the satellite TV, watching a DVD, enjoying the internet connection or the steam room. We can arrange a cleaning service. Linen hire is available on request.
Tourist tax: €1.65 per day per person, free for children under 18. Possible options: linen rental 12€ per person, end of stay cleaning: 150€.
