Like an isolated refuge, Chalet Mappelet invites you to immerse yourself in the mountain pastures at the top of the mythical Col de Joux Plane. In this unspoilt natural setting, this comfortable wooden cocoon offers you calm, relaxation, beauty and freedom.
The 150m2 chalet is a former vacation camp that has been entirely renovated with great care. Built of stone and wood, the chalet offers you the soul of authentic materials and all the necessary comforts. Isolated from the rest of the world, you can enjoy the silence of the surroundings and the splendor of the mountains, particularly from the Bourgeoise spot with its exceptional view of Mont Blanc.
This place is dedicated to nature lovers and/or sports enthusiasts: hiking, biking, trail running, paragliding, etc. A stay here is an opportunity to live within and thanks to the elements: the chalet is self-sufficient in electricity thanks to solar panels, and in water thanks to the spring. It's an opportunity to taste luxury in all its simplicity.
It's an atypical chalet, thanks to its isolated location with access via a dirt track, and its complete autonomy. These features add to the charm of this alpine chalet, and will make you feel as if you've retired from the world.

The ground floor is a huge living area: kitchen with cooking piano, dining room and lounge around a huge central fireplace.
A plush staircase leads upstairs to a double bedroom, a 7-person dormitory and a bathroom carved out of the rock.
Outside you can enjoy the view from the deckchairs, barbecue, pool table and picnic table.

BY CAR
The chalet is reached by a 1km drive from the flat joux road. Accessible for a classic car, slightly elevated, perfect for SUVs.
A shuttle will be provided on arrival from the joux plane road. We'll bring you and your luggage to the chalet from the roadside parking lot. The same applies to your departure at the end of your stay.
ON FOOT
The 1km trail can be covered on foot in 15/20 min on the way up and 10/15 min on the way back (from the roadside parking lot to the chalet).
