The property
Large chalet in Briançon itself, crossroads of 5 valleys, but outside the city, 5 minutes from Serre Chevalier 1300 (Chantemerle) and Serre Chevalier 1200 (Briançon) (departure of the resorts). The chalet is old, pleasant in summer as in winter, with all the charm of its time, and with all the comfort that one wishes to have nowadays.
South facing, large sunny and shaded terrace, in front of the living room on the ground floor. Very quiet, magnificent and unobstructed view: the part of the garden which is underneath (to the South) is very sloping. The chalet is spacious, especially the living rooms with a large living room-dining room-kitchen plus an adjoining room where one can isolate oneself and which can be used as an office or as an additional bedroom, sunny from morning to evening. Ideal for discovering all the treasures and walks in the region: several Vauban forts, the first of which is Briançon, are very well preserved. The valley of the Guisanne (below the house) coming from the Lautaret pass, Névache, or further away the Ecrins massif with its regional park... The resort of Montgenèvre is 13km away in winter for skiing, in summer for golf or walking.
Two reserved parking spaces outside and a free municipal parking at 100 m.... The location 'in town' favors regular snow removal; in summer the location in Briançon allows you to take advantage of the 'five valleys' each accessible very quickly and of all sorts of activities related or not to the mountain... Ideal for large families, friends wanting to get together, several couples with their children... up to 14 people can come,
Practical information: A contract will be signed at the time of booking, and I ask for a certificate of holiday insurance for the period booked. Bedding: sheets and blankets are provided.
