The property
The resort of Montchavin-La Plagne (= Les Coches) is located in the heart of Paradiski, in the La Plagne area just below the Vanoise Express gondola to Les Arcs. The residence Le Carrousel is "ski-in ski-out", at the departure of the Lac Noir cable car.
The duplex apartment is located on the 3rd floor and has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, a large living room and a large balcony.
Secondary residence of the owners, the apartment is very well equipped.
The living room includes a large table for up to 12 people with extensions, a sofa with a chaise longue (and a double bed that can be folded out if needed) and a large balcony with a view of Mont Blanc.
The kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, induction cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine/dryer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fondue machine, raclette machine.
On the ground floor, a large entrance allows you to leave all your ski stuff (coats, overalls, helmets...). The bedroom has a double bed (160x200) (big enough to add a baby cot). The bathroom has a bathtub, double sink, towel dryer and hair dryer. The toilets are separate.
On the first floor you will find :
- a room with 2 bunk beds 90X190 and a pull-out bed 140x190 (2*70/190)
- a room with a double bed 140x190, with windows overlooking the living room
- a dormitory under slope, accessible via the previous room. It has an 80x190 mattress, 2 90*190 mattresses and one 140x190 mattress
- a bathroom with shower
- and a separate toilet.
All the rooms are equipped with blinds or curtains occultants.
The heating is done by a base on the ground and the supplement by electric convectors in all the rooms.
2 ski lockers are located at the entrance of the residence.
The apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
For babies: cot, high chair, potty
Possibility to rent sheets and towels in supplement.
WIFI available in the apartment (ADSL box).
Access to Montchavin-La Plagne:
- by car : 2h from Lyon
- by train: Landry station (just before Bourg St Maurice) then bus during the season
At the entrance of the village:
At the roundabout, turn left towards the center then go up to the top. The residence is the second last one. A drop-off area allows you to empty your car with an easy access to the elevator.
Cars can be parked in the parking lots located above or below the residence.
Montchavin-La Plagne is one of the few resorts with the Famille Plus label in a large ski area. Concretely, the nursery is accessible to babies from 9 months (we tested it, they are great), and the children's clubs until 13 years old (idem), regular animations, ice rink, water sports center in Montchavin...)
The access to the center of the resort and to the shops is by ski or on foot (5 min.) or by the Télébuffette (or by car).
