You will feel at home in this sumptuous chalet, located on the road to Chavannes, just 1 km above the charming ski resort of Les Gets and with easy access to the slopes.

Set in its beautifully landscaped garden and overlooking Mont Chéry, Chalet Joux Verte sleeps a maximum of eight people in its four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It is an excellent choice for a family, who can play badminton, petanque and croquet in the garden. The mezzanine has two double bedrooms and a TV room which the children will certainly enjoy.

The ski bus stops 40m from the chalet. So if you don't want to drive, you can simply park your car in the garage and do without it for the duration of your stay. Enjoy the fabulous views of Mont Chery and the mountains from the large sun terrace. Relax in the jacuzzi or sauna at the end of a long day on the slopes.

The village of Les Gets offers a good choice of restaurants, shops and bars as well as a variety of entertainment in summer and winter. Enjoy Alta Lumina just a short walk from the chalet, a night walk beyond the mountains.

At Chalet Joux Verte, the accommodation is spread over three levels. Entering the ground floor, you will find two double bedrooms. One has an en-suite shower room and the other has a bathroom. This level also has a very practical laundry room with washing machine and dryer, a sauna with shower room and a separate toilet.

After a nice day on the slopes, you can access the chalet through the garage, which houses boot warmers, a ski rack and plenty of storage space. Children will also appreciate the small multi-sports table in this area!

The main living area is upstairs. In the modern kitchen, you will find all the utensils you need to prepare delicious meals after a dynamic day in the mountains. This kitchen has two ovens, and a hob on the island. You can enjoy your meals together at the oval table with leather chairs.

A comfortable corner sofa is placed so that you can enjoy the view or watch a movie with the whole group. Numerous cushions, plaids, and of course the fireplace will ensure that your evenings are cosy and comfortable. Three people can sit at the desk, very useful if you need to work during your stay.

The doors from the living room open onto the furnished terrace, which extends on three sides of the house. There are several areas where you can sunbathe, admire the stunning scenery or perhaps even prepare a barbecue. Petanque balls, a badminton and croquet set are provided, and the mostly flat grassy area is perfect for playing.

The mezzanine is ideal for children. Two bedrooms have sleeping accommodation for two which can be arranged as twin or king size beds. They share a shower room. A pleasant television room has been fitted out under the roof. You will find bean bags and room to play.

THE AREA

The ski bus stops just a stone's throw away from the Joux Verte chalet, and the village and slopes are only a kilometre away. So you can easily do without your car during your stay.

Les Gets and its neighbouring resorts Morzine and Avoriaz are at the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, which consists of 12 resorts spread around the French-Swiss border. You can ski all the way into Switzerland, but only the most experienced skiers will be able to tackle the Swiss Wall. This huge mogul field is not groomed and is therefore a yellow marked route. However, the huge ski area, with 650 km of runs, offers a wealth of possibilities for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.

Non-skiers will not be left out. Both Les Gets and its neighbouring resort Morzine have indoor and outdoor ice rinks. You can watch hockey matches or go to the cinema.

The more intrepid can try snowmobiling or ice climbing. The more leisurely will visit the surroundings at a different pace, on a sleigh ride. You'll have fun on a snowshoe walk, or sliding on sleds. The Indiana Adventure Park in Morzine offers a variety of activities for all ages.

With the arrival of spring in the Portes du Soleil, the green alpine pastures replace the snowy slopes and the mountains become a paradise for hikers, cyclists and thrill seekers. The ski lifts will take you and your bike to the heights. You can then ride down at your own pace. Take your picnic with you and enjoy a day in the open air!

Visit Morzine/Avoriaz, the neighbouring resorts, or the village of Montriond and its lake, the perfect place to walk, picnic and kayak.
Les Gets and Morzine have been awarded the Famille Plus label for their excellent childcare and entertainment facilities.

There are fantastic water parks in town and in Avoriaz, as well as two summer toboggan runs. The Indiana Adventure Park offers a variety of challenges to suit all ages. Golfers will find excellent golf courses in Les Gets and Avoriaz.

Other activities in the area include rock climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini golf, quad biking, fishing and kayaking. If you feel like relaxing, the Jacuzzi at the chalet Joux Verte will be your favourite place to rest.
