Chalet Julena
Chalet Julena is situated in a quiet location less than 2km (five minutes drive) from the lively market town of Thônes and 20 minutes from the ski slopes of La Clusaz. There is a wide range of shops, restaurants, a well known weekly market and two supermarkets.
This spacious chalet sleeps up to 12 people. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms and has been tastefully decorated to reflect the mountain setting. It is perfect for several families. They will love the large garden, enjoy the sleeping facilities and the games room.
Not far from town, this chalet still has great unobstructed views of the Montremont Valley. The best places to enjoy them are from the hot tub and the sun terrace. It is the perfect place to soak up the sun after a day of skiing, hiking or mountain biking.
A visit to the medieval city of Annecy is a great excursion not to be missed. You can reach the lake town in just 30 minutes. Stroll through the market, have lunch along the canal or take a mini-cruise on its crystal clear lake.

The lovely Julena chalet is spacious, spread over three floors and can accommodate up to 12 people.
The main living area on the ground floor takes up the entire width of the chalet and takes full advantage of the views over the beautiful valley. There is an impressive wood burning stove between the living and dining areas, a large sofa with a chaise longue and armchairs for watching TV. You can all eat at the large table, and the kitchen has a large oven and bar. French windows open onto the furnished terrace and garden Jacuzzi, which includes a petanque court and has superb views over the valley.
There are two bedrooms at the rear of the chalet. One is a double room with en-suite shower room and separate toilet, and one is a triple room with three single beds and en-suite shower room.
The other three bedrooms are on the first floor. One of the double rooms can be arranged as a twin or kingsize bed, the other double room has an en-suite shower room and the final room is for three people. There is also a separate toilet.
When you return to the chalet at the end of an intense day in the mountains, leave your equipment in the ski room on the garden level and your boots on the boot dryer. Relax in the sauna and enjoy your evening by the fire. Book a treatment with a therapist who will come and pamper you in the wellness area on the massage table. You can also exercise and take a shower. There is also a laundry room on this level. Younger guests will love the games room, equipped with a dart board and table football.
The area

Chalet Julena is in a great location to enjoy the winter sports offered in the Aravis ski resorts. Just 20 minutes from the ski resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, you can ski in a new place every day. Your Aravis ski pass also covers the Manigod area, giving you 220km of pistes of varying levels to explore as well as some amazing off-piste sessions. You can park at the ski resorts or use the free shuttle network with your Aravis pass or Guest Card.
Cross-country skiers will find a wealth of trails from the nearby village of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. Get a map from the tourist office.
Non-skiers will not be bored. In Thônes, a five-minute drive away, you will find numerous shops and restaurants as well as a cinema. If you feel like roaming the mountains, try snowshoeing, sledging, dog sledding and horse-drawn carriage rides.
On summer holidays Chalet Julena offers you the best of both worlds. Adventure in the mountains and relaxation at the lake. The alpine resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand are less than 20 minutes away and you can reach the lovely village of Menthon-Saint-Bernard on the shores of Lake Annecy in 15 minutes. The medieval town of Annecy is just a short drive away.
Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is one of the few places where you can try the Bun-J ride, a mix between bungee jumping, springboard jumping and zip-lining. Other more traditional pastimes are also possible. Marked trails criss-cross the mountains. You can go on foot, mountain bike or horseback.
There are indoor and outdoor water parks in Thônes, Le Grand-Bornand and La Clusaz. If you want to challenge yourself, visit the climbing schools, try via ferrata, accrobranche courses, canyoning, white water rafting and paragliding.
