Chalet Victorina

This wonderful chalet, close to the resort of La Giettaz, is in a beautiful isolated location in the middle of nature. In winter you will need a 4x4 vehicle with snow tyres and chains to get there, but it is well worth the effort! In addition, the owner has arranged for regular snow removal from the road leading to the property.

Recently renovated into an ultra modern and very high end accommodation, this chalet is spacious and can accommodate 12 people in its six bedrooms. The living areas are spread over two levels and there is a ski room on the garden level.

The owners have chosen an elegant and minimalist decoration. The combination of brushed wood and slate greys gives this chalet a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere in harmony with its surroundings.

Chalet Victorina is just 1.5 km from the ski lifts of Le Plan, where you will also find a restaurant in high season. Head to La Giettaz, 5 km away, to enjoy the many restaurants, bars and shops.
The property

The very stylish accommodation is spread over two levels. On the first level there is a beautiful open plan living area, which allows you to fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery around you, such as the ski slopes and the Aravis mountain range.

The kitchen island is fully equipped. You will be able to cook for all the guests of the chalet and the large table will allow you to share your meals together. This area has bay windows opening onto the balcony, from where you can admire the view while having an aperitif, for example.

There are three comfortable sofas in front of the stone fireplace and a cosy area in the attic.

The six elegant bedrooms are all on the ground floor of the Victorina chalet. Two double bedrooms share a shower room but each has its own access. There are two further bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one double, one twin), another double and another twin. This level also has a shower room and a separate toilet...

On the garden level, you will find a very useful ski room and a heated shoe rack.

In the summer, a hiking trail passes below the chalet and for the more adventurous, there are a plethora of mountain bike trails leading to the peaks of the Aravis mountain range.
The area

Chalet Victorina is set in a beautiful location with breathtaking views of the ski slopes and the Aravis mountain range.

The most experienced skiers will be able to ski right out of the chalet on the blue run called La Tréfléannaise. The rest of you will only have to walk 1.5km to get to the ski lifts at Le Plan. A popular restaurant is also open all day during the high season.

The line from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megeve offers skiers plenty of choice: over 100km of pistes at Les Portes du Mont-Blanc, and many more at the larger Evasion Mont-Blanc complex. It includes Megève, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce and Les Contamines. If that's not enough for you, you can join the La Clusaz ski area, with over 120 km of runs, or the Espace Diamant, with over 200 km.

If you want a change from skiing, head to Le Plan for a unique dog sledding experience!
In summer, a whole host of activities awaits you. Hiking trails pass in front of the chalet. You can try your hand at climbing, summer sledging, picnicking or simply enjoy the 360° view from the top of the lifts. The Col des Aravis, a classic stage of the Tour de France, is nearby and hiking trails to it pass right in front of the chalet.

Teenagers can test their BMX skills or learn new ones at the bike park at the bottom of the Torraz chairlift. Access to the bike park is free.

The medieval city of Annecy is only 45 km away. Take a day off the slopes to visit it. Stroll through its narrow streets, walk along the canal and have lunch in one of its restaurants or choose to laze on one of the beaches of the lake.

IMPORTANT: in winter it is essential to have a 4x4 vehicle equipped with snow tires to access the chalet. There is a car park located 300m from the chalet which is accessible by 4x4 vehicle. The main road leading to the car park, and the car park itself, are cleared of snow by the local council. Please consider that during periods of heavy snowfall, you may have to walk the last 300 metres from the car park to the chalet. In summer, the chalet is accessible by a gravel path (for a car with low ground clearance, access will be difficult), as you are on a GR hiking trail.
