Chalet Belle Cour
This fabulous contemporary chalet is located in the charming village of Manigod and offers breathtaking views of the Aravis mountains. The living space is spread over three levels and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people (including nine adults).The owners commissioned a local architect to build the property and the result is very successful. This beautiful house with all the comforts of home will appeal to holidaymakers who will enjoy an unforgettable stay.by car, you can quickly reach the village of Manigod from the resort of La Croix Fry, which offers several options for skiers of all levels, but is especially popular with families. In the summer, hikers and mountain bikers will have a great time on the many trails in the area. The ski bus stops only 30 metres from the chalet, so you don't need your car, and in the morning you can pick up fresh bread and pastries from the popular village bakery. The restaurant also offers a takeaway service. There are other restaurants within a short drive of the chalet and Manigod as well as the Croix Fry ski resort.
The property
Chalet Belle Cour has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and can therefore sleep up to 10 people.You enter the chalet from the ground floor. In the entrance hall there is a separate toilet with hand basin, space to hang coats and finally a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and access to the terrace with splendid views of the Étale, Sulens and Tournette peaks. The living area is completely open and overlooks the valley. You have access to the balcony which goes around the property to its front. In the summer you can enjoy your meal outside on the shaded terrace directly off the kitchen, for a good meal or simply to drink your morning coffee.comfortable sofas and benches are arranged around a wood burning stove which you can direct to the dining area for a rustic fire place dinner. The elegant kitchen includes a very large oven where you can cook for a whole regiment.The first floor consists of two further double bedrooms which share a bathroom. A large family suite includes a double bed, two solid bunk beds and an en-suite shower room.A long mezzanine landing overlooks the dining area and is set up as an office, useful for those who will need to work during their stay. From here you can access the second balcony and easily take a break! The property also includes a garage, a ski room with a boot dryer and heater, and a practical laundry room on the garden level.
Belle Cour is only 10 minutes from the Croix Fry ski resort (1,500m), where you can park for free. However, if you prefer to leave your car at the chalet, the ski shuttle stops 50 m from your door. For beginners, there are plenty of gentle slopes on the green runs, so they can gradually get to grips with the sport, while experienced skiers have access to over 200 km of runs and 95 lifts in the La Clusaz / Le Grand-Bornand area. Cross-country skiers will be delighted by the plethora of trails on the surrounding Beauregard plateau. Non-skiers will have plenty to keep them busy with the skating rink, the swimming pool in La Clusaz, as well as various activities such as tobogganing, snowshoeing, dog sledding and horse-drawn carriage rides.In the summer, explore the trails that criss-cross the mountains. From high mountain hikes to more leisurely walks on the plateau, the region's terrain offers choices for all levels and tastes. For example, you can take the ski lifts to the top and then descend at your own pace.There are tree climbing courses for all the family in Thônes and Le Grand-Bornand, as well as a superb golf course in Annecy on the edge of the lake.Thrill seekers can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking or white water rafting. All these activities, among others, are available only a few kilometres from Manigod. End your day in style with a barbecue and a nightcap on the terrace of the Belle Cour chalet.
