Chalet Fernuy

There is a real atmosphere of tranquillity in this delightful 5 star chalet which is also ideally located between the charming village of La Clusaz and the ski area of La Balme and Les Confins.

You will enjoy the magnificent views of the La Balme ski area, and of course, the Fernuy piste. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the chalet can accommodate ten people. In the summer, you can also enjoy the view from the pool. An outdoor Nordic bath is available all year round, and you can enjoy dining on one of the terraces (sunny at different times of the day) or reading and relaxing.

The design of this cottage is very smart. The interior is spacious and contemporary, with unique features and relaxing decor.

Chalet Fernuy is an ideal base for groups of friends or families with teenagers or young adults who wish to enjoy the mountain activities to the full, whilst having the shops, restaurants and bars of La Clusaz nearby.
The property

Chalet Fernuy is spread over three levels. The living area on the ground floor is open and very bright thanks to its double height ceiling, large windows and glass doors on the patio. You can dine on the terrace, read or relax in the Nordic bath. The cosy living room has a wood burning stove, cushions and plaids. Doors open onto the balcony where you can enjoy the sunset and the view. The compact kitchen is fully equipped, opened by a bar. Ten people can sit at the table. There is one double bedroom on this level, with an en-suite shower room and a separate toilet.

The other four bedrooms are upstairs: a master suite with dressing room and en-suite bathroom; a twin room with a bathroom shared between two rooms with their own door to access it. One of the twin rooms can be used as a single room and is ideal for children. A double bedroom faces the rear of the chalet and can be set up with a king-size bed or two single beds and a sofa. There is also a desk area which is very useful if you need to work, as the view is stunning.

There is another living area with a clubhouse feel on the lower level, ideal for children and teenagers. It has leather sofas, a bar, TV, board games, table football and darts. In the summer, this room opens onto the pool terrace, which measures 10 x 4 m and is 50 to 150 cm deep. The terrace has a shower and space for sunbathing. A slope adjoins one side. Children should always be supervised by an adult.

The laundry room is used to dry equipment. The garage has a heated shoe rack for five pairs of boots and space to store skis, bikes, etc.
The area

This chalet is just a few minutes from La Clusaz and overlooks the La Balme ski area - a favourite of our visitors and our world freeride champion Candide Thovex.

You can quickly drive to the La Balme car park where you can park for free. Alternatively, the ski bus stops only 300m from the chalet and takes you to the ski resorts in the Annecy area. Please note that at certain times of the winter, the stretch of road between the chalet and the La Balme car park becomes one-way. You will therefore have to go the long way around or take the bus. With your Aravis ski pass you have access to over 220km of superb pistes and 95 lifts in the resorts of La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts will be delighted at the Lac des Confins and on the nearby Beauregard plateau.

For a break from the slopes, go to La Clusaz to the outdoor ice rink, the heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the spa or the cinema. Want to try an original activity? Try sledging, dog sledding and horse-drawn carriage rides. All are available just a few kilometres away.

Take part in the Défi Foly at the end of April! In this competition, skiers close the season by trying to ski the longest distance on the partially frozen Lac des Confins!
If you come in the summer, there is no shortage of activities, all available within minutes of the chalet. Take the lifts and go hiking or mountain biking at altitude, try white water rafting, canyoning, via ferrata and paragliding in the La Clusaz area.

The Lac des Confins area has a plethora of walking trails. There is also a tennis club, a golf course, a driving range, a fishing centre and a horse riding centre.

The crystal clear waters of Lake Annecy are only a 40 minute drive away, so you can spend a day at the beach, swimming and even fishing, windsurfing or hiring a boat.
