This beautiful chalet is perfectly situated between the charming village of Manigod (3.5 km) and the family ski resort of La Croix Fry (3 km). It will allow you to enjoy splendid views over the Manigod valley. It has been designed to provide the perfect experience for holidaymakers staying in the Alps. In Manigod you will find a bar/restaurant, bakery, pottery shop, hairdresser, craft shop and the Akwaba Spa.
On the one hand, you will enjoy all the leisure and sporting events that the Alps have to offer in summer and winter, and on the other hand, you will benefit from a rich programme of entertainment taking place throughout the year, mostly in the heart of the village near the church.
About the property...
Built in 2019, this bright and brand new chalet sleeps 11 people. It has five bedrooms, three shower rooms, and is spread over three levels.
On the ground floor you will find two double bedrooms which share a shower room and separate toilet. A lovely summer kitchen and bar overlooks the large garden and terrace; the perfect place to cook a la plancha, sip a cocktail or soak up the sun in the hot tub.
A ski storage area and a garage are also available. The boiler room is also on this level.
The main living area is on the first level. It is a fully equipped kitchen with a bar where you can have your breakfast. This open-plan room has a TV, comfortable sofas and a large table where you can all dine together. This room opens onto the large balcony from where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley and the peaks in the distance. Another double bedroom, a shower room and a separate toilet are also located on this level.
The other two bedrooms are on the first floor. A double bedroom and a triple bedroom. Both share a further shower room and open onto the balcony. You will enjoy the splendid view every morning when you wake up... What more could you ask for? On this floor, a comfortable reading corner is also at your disposal as well as the TV room where children usually like to play.
The area
The nearby ski resort La Croix Fry (3 km) is located at an altitude of 1,500 m and has free parking. From here, experienced skiers can reach La Clusaz. There is an ESF ski school here and the beginners' slopes are perfect for youngsters to learn on. However, the more experienced skiers will also find something to challenge themselves in this resort.
Several cafés and restaurants will allow you to recharge your batteries. Your Aravis/La Clusaz ski pass will give you access to 95 lifts and 220km of pistes, so there is always somewhere new to discover.
Cross-country skiers will be spoilt for choice by the many trails that criss-cross the mountains. Non-skiers can enjoy the heated indoor/outdoor swimming pools, ice rink and cinema in La Clusaz. There are also opportunities for snowshoeing, horse-drawn carriage rides, dog sledding and tobogganing nearby.
Chalet Marinaka is the perfect retreat after a busy day. From the balcony, watch the sun set and then watch the shooting stars cross the sky of the Manigod valley.
In the summer, hike or mountain bike through the mountains and pine forests. This beautiful and fertile valley is criss-crossed by several marked trails. However, if you want to make the most of the altitude, take your mountain bike on the ski lift from La Clusaz and go down at your own pace, picnic and walk on the Beauregard plateau.
Adrenaline junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing or white water rafting a few kilometres from Manigod. The via ferrata is another great activity to share with the family. Adults and children alike can discover the mountains on routes built with metal elements, attached to a harness. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, try the donkey trek at the Col des Aravis instead. You won't even have to carry your own picnic!
Annecy is a great destination for a change of scenery. The medieval city and its canals can be reached in only 30 minutes by car. Don't forget to head to Lake Annecy, where you can try out various water sports, take a mini-cruise, hire a boat or simply spend the day at the beach.
