Located in the commune of Le Grand Bornand, this comfortable 4* chalet is precisely in Chinaillon, just a few minutes from the slopes, shops and restaurants of the resort. You can even leave your car on site, as the shuttle bus is just a hundred metres from your door - the centre of Chinaillon is the next stop!

The property offers magnificent mountain views, which can be enjoyed from the outdoor Nordic bath.

The Chalet des Mômes has been completely refurbished by the owners and has been awarded a 4 star rating. Thanks to its ideal location (close to the slopes, hiking trails and shops), but also its sober and elegant style, it offers all the ingredients for an exceptional stay in the heart of the Aravis.

With a capacity of 8 people, the Chalet des Mômes is arranged on 3 floors.

You will enjoy 4 beautiful rooms, with quality bedding and sheets, plaids and fake fur cushions to decorate the rooms: your nights will be as beautiful as your days!

The first bedroom is on the ground floor and has its own bathroom, just renovated. The two bedrooms on the first floor share a common bathroom and an independent toilet. The fourth bedroom is on the mezzanine, overlooking the living area and has its own bathroom.

The living area opens onto a balcony and terrace, perfect for breakfast in the sun, or a hot chocolate or wine on the way back to the chalet. The cosy living room is a great place to meet up in the evening to discuss your day, comfortably seated on the sofas, while admiring the fantastic view from the large bay window. Unless you prefer to relax in the outdoor Nordic bath, to unwind after a busy day?

Sportsmen will appreciate the changing room, where you can get rid of all your outdoor equipment - including skis and bikes - after a long day in the mountains. The next morning, you will find everything dry and heated, ready for new adventures.

Just a few minutes from the chalet, the village of Chinaillon has some great bars and restaurants. If you prefer to stay in the chalet, the fully equipped kitchen and large dining room will allow you to share convivial moments during meals - raclette and fondue machines are of course at your disposal!

ABOUT THE REGION...

Situated 1.2 km from the first ski lift, Chalet des Mômes offers easy access to the slopes by car or by free ski bus - the stop is 100 m from your door.

The Aravis ski pass gives you unlimited skiing in all the resorts around Lake Annecy - over 200km of runs, for all levels. The youngest will love the toboggan run just a stone's throw from the chalet, and cross-country skiers the start of the Nordic courses. Beginners will discover the Evo Nordic Park, while snowboarders will have a blast in the snowpark.

The proximity of the skibus will allow non-skiers to go easily to Chinaillon, and to the centre of the Grand Bornand or La Clusaz resorts, where the indoor and outdoor pools of the aquatic area are open in season. Other activities include snowshoeing, horse-drawn carriage rides, dog sledding and ice skating!

After a busy day, what a pleasure to come back to the chalet or to share a typical meal in a good restaurant!

Many hiking and mountain bike trails are accessible from the Chalet des Mômes - don't hesitate to go to the Chinaillon Tourist Office to ask for detailed maps. A special treat: an easy walk will take you to a beautiful waterfall, very close to the chalet.

The Grand Bornand open-air water park has a restaurant and picnic areas on the lawn.

Looking for an adrenaline rush? Climbing, via ferratas, tree climbing, canyoning, white water rafting and paragliding are all available.

In August, don't miss the "Bonheur des Mômes", Europe's largest festival of live arts for children! For a week, you will attend quality shows: puppeteers, dancers, circus artists, storytellers... Not forgetting numerous fun workshops, free activities and a magnificent fireworks display at the end of the festival.

When you come to the Aravis, the birthplace of Reblochon, it is impossible not to take some of the famous cheese home with you, bought directly from the farms or from small producers on the markets. To be enjoyed on a platter or in the famous Tartiflette!

Less than an hour from Geneva airport, the Chalet des Mômes is ideally located to discover the Alps.

Weekly markets are held in Grand Bornand and La Clusaz, both of which offer a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.

There are small supermarkets in Le Chinaillon and Le Grand Bornand, and larger ones in Les Villards and Thônes, about 20 minutes drive away. The Old Town of Annecy is well worth a visit at any time of year. Its lake, reputed to be the purest in Europe, will allow you to practice many water sports, to swim, to cycle on its banks or simply to relax on its beaches.
