The chalet was completed in January 2012, fully equipped, it is located at the end of a dead end street and therefore has an absolute calm. It overlooks the river Doubs (located at 100 m with 2 waterfalls nearby). It has an unobstructed view of the forest, the fields and the ski slopes.
It is built in raw wood, in spruce of the Haut-Doubs and is thus completely respectful of the stakes of sustainable development.

The Métabief Mont d'or resort has 30 ski lifts and 6 chairlifts for 40 km of downhill skiing trails in winter, as well as 210 km of cross-country skiing trails in both styles. It is also the possibility of learning biathlon and discovering new sensations since the Haut-Doubs is a big provider of medals at each Olympic Games thanks to this discipline. You can also go on dog sledding or snowshoeing trips or discover ski-joring (ski pulled by a horse).
The village of Rochejean is not lacking in activities either, with its cross-country ski trails and a visit to the Batailleuse educational farm.

In summer, you can enjoy many mountain bike rides or walks starting from the chalet.

And, many of the cross-country ski trails are transformed into marked mountain bike trails for both hiking and downhill (the resort has hosted the World and European Mountain Bike Championships as well as many other national and international competitions). Thanks to the many marked trails, including the GR5 and the GTJ, you can admire the panorama of the Alps from the Mont d'Or ridges or even spot chamois.
There are many other activities in the resort such as accro branches, paragliding but also the discovery of gastronomy with the visit of the Comté cheese maturing cellars in St Antoine or the tasting of local products in the mountain chalets of the Mont d'Or.

5 kms away, there is the St POINT lake (2nd natural lake in France) where you can swim, sail, windsurf or even pedal boat or even take a trip on the lake in an electro-solar boat.

The chalet is also about ten kilometers from the Swiss border and the Vallée de Joux, the Mecca of luxury and manufacture of the most prestigious watches in the world, there is also a lake on which you can skate in winter or even enjoy a fondue in the many cabins on the frozen lake. In summer, you can also swim.

10 kms away, you will find Mouthe and its valley, the Mecca of Nordic skiing with the arrival of the Transjurassienne (the longest cross-country ski race in France), but also in Chaux-Neuve, the 118 m jumping hill which hosts each year a Nordic Combined World Cup.
