Welcome to L'Ecrin des Hautes Alpes !

This spacious (70 m²) and very comfortable (3 épis Gîtes de France) Gîte de Charme for 2 people has the "Ecogîte" and "Gîte de Charme" labels.

Located at an altitude of 1200m: Warm mountain atmosphere (noble materials: old wood, stone, lime), carefully decorated. On one level and independent.

Located in an authentic and preserved natural setting, in the heart of the Ecrins National Park.
L'Ecrin des Hautes Alpes is an old farmhouse which has been entirely renovated in the respect of traditions in an ecological approach (healthy and local materials, wood heating, ...).

On the same level (Tourism & Handicap Label for the 4 handicaps) and independent.
Parking space.

The living-dining room is equipped with a desk (Internet access), a fireplace (wood supplied), a library with novels, books, various magazines (Montagne Magazine, National Géographic, Vertical, Alpes Magazine, Parapente Mag, etc.), 2 sofas, television, DVD player (with a choice of DVDs), mini hi-fi system, numerous board games.
A dedicated "Office du Tourisme" area gives you access to the latest news, activities in the valley and the surrounding area, maps and topo guides (hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, climbing, paragliding, Via Ferrata, etc...), good deals from local producers, markets and recommended restaurants...

On request: the two sofas can be converted to add 2 beds to the initial capacity of 2 people for 80 euros per additional person per week (50/weekend).

The room, with adjoining bathroom (large ltalian shower) and French window overlooking the outside. Double bed of Well-being (2 independent places in electric King Size) but possibility of putting 2 beds in 90 on request.

Fully equipped kitchen, with a full range of quality appliances (built-in oven, microwave, large hood, silent refrigerator, dishwasher, food processor, toaster, coffee maker, raclette machine and fondue machine).
Second independent toilet.

Landscaped grounds with a large terrace of 40m² (garden furniture, barbecue (wood supplied), parasol, deckchair, sofa, hammock). Nordic bath in the meadow.
Playground for children: swings, slide, trampoline.

The site: natural on the edge of the meadow and forest (which are part of the property of the gite) gives you access to various activities.
Thus, directly on the spot, in front of your door and that throughout the 4 seasons: Norwegian bath, Wellness massages (by a state-qualified masseur), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, sledging track and "baby" track of initiation to skiing and snow privative, mountain bike circuits, hiking circuits or simply enjoy the setting in the middle of nature to observe the Fauna (the eagles, chamois, foxes, squirrels, or other deer that frequently come in the meadow) and admire the Flora that surrounds you in the property.
And even the most unexpected one arrived, or rather she arrived, at the beginning of the summer to take up residence in the garden of the gîte, only 3 metres from the terrace: a marmot... to the great delight of the holidaymakers who were there amazed and the following ones!

Otherwise, if you want to move, other activities are a few hundred meters or a few small kilometers to discover the valley of Champsaur which is a source without limits of sports activities or leisure in full nature:
- Private sledging track in front of the gîte!
- Skiing at 2,5km, Orcières (100km of slopes) at 10km and 4 other resorts in the valley at less than 15km);
- Paragliding: the department of free flight par excellence with 2 take-off areas in view from your gîte and a landing possible at the gîte;
- Climbing: numerous sites, the closest of which (50 routes) is 800m away;
- Fishing at 800m;
- Ice climbing (referenced site) at 900m;
- Accrobranche: the nearest at 2km (then the largest in Europe at 15km);
- Multi-activity leisure centre: 4km away, then 10km away;
- Tyrolean traverse: one of the largest in Europe (nearly 2 km of descent with a peak of 140 km/h) at 10 km
- Outdoor ice rink at 3 km and indoor at 10km;
- Swimming pool at 10km
- Etc...

To allow you to discover or practice the sports which are possible on the spot (from the gîte) and, if you wish to avoid encumbering your stay with leisure equipment (purchase, rental, transport...) you have at your disposal sports and leisure equipment (all is available for adults and children - except for paragliders).

All this equipment is made available at a "Free Rate" and not compulsory (the purpose is not to rent but to make you benefit from quality equipment, maintained in state and varied (for man, woman, child and baby).

- Paragliders (sails and harnesses) ;
- Kite sails;
- Sleds (classic and traditional wooden);
- Parets (traditional shepherd's sledge);
- Astronomy glasses ;
- Binoculars for observation;
- Bows (with targets);
- Badminton nets and rackets;
- Mushroom sticks with baskets and knives (in the meadow there are many mushrooms to be picked: morels in May, Mousserons and Champignons de Paris in early September, girolles in August, Bollets in October...);
- And various outdoor toys for the little ones...

On request, wellness services: wellness massages in the gîte and relaxing sessions in the Norwegian bath.

The rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.
Arrival from 4pm and departure between 8am and 10am.
In summer, the stays are of 2 weeks minimum.
Short stays possible in autumn or outside, less than a month before your desired date of stay.

N.B. : with the second gîte (OUEST) which is its twin, they can be twinned in order to welcome for example two families with a capacity of up to 8 people.

All-inclusive price (heating, electricity, tourist tax, firewood and barbecue, kitchen linen.

Add 15€ for the rental of sheets if you want them and 5€/person for the towels (glove, bath towel and shower towel).
