The property
Based in the Hautes-Alpes and passionate about our mountains, we rent 10 chalets in Montgenèvre and Vars that can accommodate 12 to 24 people. Le Kergwen, at 280 m² and accommodating 18 people, overlooks the village and offers the best view of the slopes in the entire resort.
Open year-round, it can be rented by the weekend or by the week; however, from late December through late March and from early July through late August, it is available only by the week. Montgenèvre, France’s first ski resort founded in 1907, is one of the official venues for the 2030 Winter Olympics, which will host snowboarding and freestyle skiing events there. Connected to the international “Via Lattea” ski area (Via Lattea)—Clavières, San Sicario, Sestrières, Sauze d’Oulx—the ski area boasts a total of 400 km of trails and 91 ski lifts, including 100 km of trails and 37 lifts directly accessible from Montgenèvre.
A close-knit team is available year-round to connect you with catering providers and certified instructors, whether the resort is open or closed.
The Guided Tour
This prestigious, south-facing chalet is perched in the village, 500 m from the slopes, with a 180° panoramic view of the mountains. A free shuttle stops right in front of the chalet and reaches the base of the slopes in less than 5 minutes. Clad in stone and local wood, it spans 4 floors: 6 bedrooms with private bathrooms (5 double rooms, some with convertible twin beds, and 1 dormitory sleeping 8); a 60-square-meter living room with a pool table that opens onto the fully equipped kitchen and a south-facing terrace; a full-fledged entertainment floor with a game room, dance floor, bar, and movie theater; and a large outdoor terrace with lounge chairs, a pool, and a hot tub overlooking the panoramic view.
In winter, at the heart of the Voie Lactée and the 2030 Winter Olympics
At an elevation of 1,860 meters, on the French-Italian border, Montgenèvre is part of the Voie Lactée, one of Europe’s largest ski areas with 400 km of trails and 91 ski lifts spread across six French-Italian resorts. Selected as a venue for the 2030 Winter Olympics in snowboarding and freestyle skiing, the resort is experiencing rapid growth and increasing visibility. From the chalet: direct access to the area’s 100 km of slopes and 37 lifts; free shuttle service; 20 km from the Oulx TGV station; 100 km from Turin; 10 km from Briançon.
Summer
300 days of sunshine a year in the Hautes-Alpes. Electric mountain biking for the whole family or downhill mountain biking on designated trails, dozens of mountain passes for cyclists, hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, a high-altitude lake, and rafting or canoeing on the Durance River. For kids: tree-top adventure courses for ages 5 and up, rock climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, and ping-pong at the chalet.
Chalets Hosszu Services
Fresh bread and pastries delivered in the morning, half-board meals or a private chef, end-of-stay cleaning included (daily cleaning optional), linens included during Christmas and February, 20% discount on ski equipment, direct booking of ski passes with possible discounts, and connections to certified instructors year-round (skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, fat biking...).
Rentals are from Sunday to Sunday during the season; weekend rentals are available during the off-season. Dogs allowed; cats not allowed.
We also rent 3 other chalets for 16 to 22 people in Montgenèvre, and 6 chalets for 12 to 24 people in Vars.
