As the last town in the Val d'Anniviers, Zinal has preserved its character and simplicity. Nestled at 1670m, this quaint town is found at the foot of the imperial crown dominated by the Weisshorn (4506m, 4th highest summit in Europe). As a result of the altitude and a north east orientation, the ski area guarantees plenty of snow cover and offers powder snow of quality found no where else. This year's opening of a 100 hectare freeride domain makes Zinal a pilot station and well-known for its bowl skiing.
