Overlooking the beautiful village of Manigod, just a 10 minute walk away, the elegant 4 star rated Chalet Parakima is ideally situated to enjoy the spectacular views of the Aravis Valley.
Whatever the time of year, the large terrace is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink, or why not relax in the hot tub as the sun sets behind the mountain.
In winter, the ski bus stops practically at the door of the chalet and will take you to the slopes in a few minutes. If your stay is in the summer, there are numerous walks and cycle paths within minutes of the property.
Larger groups of up to 19 people have the option of booking this chalet with the neighbouring chalet, Chalet Chocolat, which sleeps up to 8 people.

With five bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over three floors, this spacious chalet can comfortably accommodate 11 people (maximum 10 adults).
The entrance is on the ground floor, where you can leave your outdoor gear before heading upstairs. There is also a laundry room and a double garage.
The main living space is on the first floor. It includes a bright and airy lounge area with a large corner sofa around a wide screen TV and wood burning stove, a large table with benches to accommodate everyone, and a fully equipped open plan kitchen. The bay windows allow you to enjoy the view, and the doors open onto the spacious terrace where you can breathe in the fresh mountain air and admire the panorama from the jacuzzi.
This floor also has a games room with home cinema, a double bedroom with access to the terrace and en-suite shower room, and a separate toilet.
On the upper floor you will find two double bedrooms, one bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed, a family bathroom and a large master suite with spacious bathroom and dressing room.
Chalet Parakima is an excellent choice for groups wishing to make the most of the mountain activities in the Aravis region. The large storage area for outdoor equipment, the spacious terrace and the Alps on your doorstep guarantee a great holiday!

About the area...
Thanks to the ski bus that stops practically at the door of Chalet Parakima, the entire ski area of La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand is at your disposal.
You can rent your equipment in Manigod, and use the chalet's convenient storage space. Some of the slopes in La Clusaz are lit at certain times of the year, so you can ski until 1am. In addition, the weekly torchlight descent is an experience you will never forget. The Manigod ski area is the largest lit ski area in this part of the Alps, open until 9pm during the school holidays and every Friday and Saturday until mid-March.
Cross-country skiers can explore many trails, while non-skiers can enjoy the heated indoor/outdoor pool, ice rink, cinema, tobogganing, snowshoeing and horse and dog sleigh rides.
For the ultimate in winter fun, try paragliding on skis or joëring skiing, which is skiing towed by a horse!
In summer, you can enjoy the beautiful terrace of Chalet Parakima. Relax in the jacuzzi, or enjoy a barbecue with a breathtaking view of the Manigod valley. However, if you manage to leave the chalet, the La Clusaz area offers many activities. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, from the mountain paths to the less demanding trails of the Glières plateau.
Thrill seekers can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, mountain biking or rafting, all of which are available just a few kilometres from Manigod. The via ferrata is ideal for families with children aged eight and over, who can explore the mountains safely on iron footbridges, secured by a harness.
Less than an hour from Geneva and only 30 minutes from the beautiful lake town of Annecy, Chalet Parakima is your ideal base for exploring the region all year round.

Important: Please note if you book the nearby Parakima and Chocolat chalets together, the dining rooms in both chalets are not sized to accommodate a large group. Please note: sports equipment, in particular an exercise bike and weights, is available in the chalet.
