This magnificent contemporary 5 star chalet was built by the owners on a family plot.

Situated in a quiet location, just a few minutes from the main road linking Thônes to Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, the chalet is ideal for easy access to the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, as well as the beautiful shores of Lake Annecy.

The Kitz offers superb views of Mont Lachat, La Tournette and Le Lachat du Grand-Bornand. The large terrace at the back of the chalet overlooks the surrounding forest and fields, making it easy to go for a walk or a bike ride. Although the garden is open, there is little (if any) traffic, so children can explore the area safely.

Chalet Le Kitz has a capacity of 12 people and consists of three levels.

Perfectly integrated into its environment thanks to its traditional architecture, Le Kitz has introduced many contemporary elements in its layout and decoration, to offer optimum comfort to its inhabitants.

The entrance to the chalet opens onto a vestibule and provides access to the garage and ski room, the laundry room and a first family room, with a double bed, a bunk bed (for 2 children) and an en-suite bathroom.

Upstairs, the large living area is divided into several spaces, so that there is room for everyone. There is a comfortable sitting area with a large corner sofa, a TV corner with a flat screen and a beautiful wood burning stove. The colours and decoration blend subtly with the wood and stone used in the construction, creating a real chalet atmosphere. The kitchen, which has 2 fridges, is separated by a central island which acts as a bar; a large dining table allows all the guests to gather for meals.

A bay window opens onto the large terrace equipped with deckchairs, a dining table, a barbecue and a jacuzzi, where you can relax or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the stars. This floor has a second bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

The other three bedrooms, all en-suite, are on the top floor: a large double room with a balcony and two single rooms, which can be joined together to form a double bed.

ABOUT THE AREA...

Winter sports enthusiasts looking for peace and quiet, wanting to enjoy the resorts but not the hustle and bustle, will find Le Kitz a perfect retreat.

Located between La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, you can ski on different slopes every day. The Aravis ski pass also gives access to the Manigod ski area, offering a total of 220km of runs to explore, for all levels and desires. If you like cross-country skiing, you will enjoy the slopes of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, a few minutes drive from the chalet. Non-skiers will not be left out: they will appreciate the ice rinks in the resorts or the aquatic area of La Clusaz with heated pools, where you can swim outside while watching the skiers hurtle down the slopes. Not forgetting snowshoeing, dog sledding or sledging.

At the end of the day, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of the Kitz, sharing a good meal before relaxing in the Jacuzzi, under the light of the moon. What more could you want?

Chalet Le Kitz is the ideal place to stay in the summer, to enjoy the nearby mountain activities with ease.

The neighbouring village of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is home to the Bun-J Ride, an exclusive site where you can bungee jump, cycle, ski, snowboard or sledge in summer and winter!

Other more traditional leisure activities are also available: hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Not forgetting the swimming pools (covered or not) in Grand-Bornand, La Clusaz and Thônes, or to add a little challenge to your stay, climbing, via ferrata, adventure courses in the trees, canyoning, white water rafting or paragliding, all of which are available within a short distance of the chalet.

Back at the Kitz, the children can continue their discoveries around the chalet, while you enjoy the sun on the terrace or the jacuzzi, before preparing a barbecue for dinner.

While the peace and quiet of Chalet Le Kitz might make you think you're far away from it all, you're actually very close to a lot of sights.

Less than an hour from Geneva airport, the chalet is halfway between the resorts of the Aravis and the medieval town of Annecy: famous for its lake, it also offers a range of choice shops, traditional and Michelin star restaurants, typical markets and cultural venues. Lake Annecy, reputed to be the purest in Europe, is an ideal place to practice many water sports, to swim or simply to relax on the various beaches.

Closer to the chalet, you will find a wide choice of shops and restaurants in the resort, Saint-Jean-de-Sixt or Thônes, as well as weekly markets in La Clusaz, Grand-Bornand and Thônes, where you can bring back delicious fresh local produce or other regional specialities such as Reblochon cheese

Important: please note if you book the Kitz and Buhel chalets together, that the dining rooms of both chalets are not designed to accommodate a large group, in order to respect the integrity of the premises, the work of the managers and cleaning teams and for safety reasons. Indeed, the maximum occupancy of the Chalet Buhel must not exceed 15 people, and that of the Chalet Kitz 12 people, in application of the fire regulations. Thank you for your understanding.
