Enjoy total peace and quiet in this 5-star chalet near the village of Manigod in the Alps.

Surrounded by fields and forests, it is an ideal retreat with magnificent views of the Étale and the Aiguille, enjoyed from the outdoor Jacuzzi on a sheltered terrace. The other terraces offer views of the Tournette, Mont Charvin and the Sulens.

The small cobbled road leading to the chalet is well maintained and cleared of snow. In winter, however, you will need to equip your vehicle with suitable tyres and chains. The car park is just a few steps away from the chalet, in order to maintain its preserved character.

The owners have a chalet next door. They will be available during the weekends to answer your questions and help you with your luggage in case of bad weather or snow.

The chalet has 5 bedrooms and can accommodate 12 people (10 adults maximum).

The entrance opens onto a large living room with a closed cloakroom with shoe warmer on the right, where you can store your equipment. The dining area opens onto one of the chalet's terraces, with an adjoining garden.

Inside, the beautiful living area consists of a magnificent fireplace, a TV corner and a superb semi-professional kitchen, which will make your cooking moments truly relaxing - 3 ovens, large fridge storage and a wine cellar with automatic temperature control.

The bay window floods the room with sunlight. On this level there is a first double bedroom with a bathroom accessible by a staircase: here you can use the beautiful walk-in shower or sit comfortably in the bathtub, admiring the breathtaking view through the window.

On the first floor are the other 4 bedrooms, 3 of which have televisions. Two of the double rooms have a shower, sink, toilet and access to a sunny balcony.

Children will love their room, which has two single beds and a pull-out bed, and shares a large bathroom and separate toilet with the fifth and final room, which has two single beds and opens onto the terrace with the outdoor jacuzzi.

The mezzanine is a great place to relax, with a powerful sound system, a pool table, a hammam with light therapy and a shower. There is also a laundry room on this floor.

The chalet has many cosy areas, so that each member of the group can isolate themselves and relax in peace and quiet if they wish.

THE REGION...

Despite its exceptional location, Chalet Les Brevins is only a few minutes' drive from the resort of La Croix-Fry, which has pistes for skiers of all abilities.

You can also take the shuttle buses (free with the Carte d'Hôte) to Grand-Bornand or La Clusaz, which have a total of 220 km of downhill ski runs and numerous cross-country ski trails.

In the Manigod ski area, the La Croix Fry slopes are open at night until 9pm and the weekly torchlight descent is a spectacle you won't soon forget.

Non-skiers will also find something to suit them, with an aquatic area equipped with indoor and outdoor heated pools, an ice rink and a cinema nearby, as well as numerous activities: sledging, snowshoeing, dog sledding or horse-drawn carriage rides.

For the ultimate in thrills, try a paragliding experience on skis or a ski joering outing, skiing pulled by a horse! The fauna and flora are also interesting to discover at the foot of your chalet, even in winter. You can even explore the surrounding area on snowshoes right from your door.

After a day in the fresh air, you will appreciate the warm atmosphere of Chalet Les Brevins, to share a good meal, relax in the jacuzzi or the hammam, or challenge yourself to a game of pool!

Children who still have energy to spare will quickly discover that the path around the chalet is an incredible sledge run!

The location of Chalet Les Brevins takes on a whole new dimension in summer. Facing south, surrounded by meadows and forests, it is a paradise for nature lovers, who will be able to observe the local flora and fauna at their leisure. Children can play safely in the garden and the surrounding fields, thanks to the location of the cottage away from any busy road.

Outside, in the beautifully landscaped garden to the side of the chalet's main entrance, there is a large terrace perfect for soaking up the sunshine, as well as another sheltered terrace ideal for relaxing in the hot tub.

There is a wide choice of walks, hikes and mountain bike trails from the chalet or further afield, including access to several ski lifts. This is an opportunity to have a picnic at altitude, before descending at your own pace. Adrenaline seekers can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing or white water rafting - just some of the activities available just a few kilometres from Manigod.

For a change of scenery, head to Annecy for the day. This beautiful medieval town, which has the purest lake in Europe, offers a multitude of activities: water sports, swimming, golf, cycling on the cycle path around the lake...

Contemplators can discover the shores of the lake and the pretty seaside villages on a short cruise. And don't forget to sample the pleasures of the table and shopping in the town centre!
